Welcome to Cincy East Girls Team Tryouts!

Registration costs $30 per participant. Kindly review the instructions below to facilitate tryout registration, as there are several requirements mandated by our governing bodies for aspiring student athletes. The tryout schedule can be adjusted so please check back the week before.

Tryout Registration Checklist

To begin your online team tryout registration follow the steps in our checklist below. The #1 Tryout Registration Tip! Use the same email contact in your Sports Engine account throughout the process. All tryout fees are non-refundable.

Step 1: Our registration will place your student athlete into a tryout group based on their DOB. Age definitions are set by the USAV and the OVR, our governing bodies. However, some athletes may prefer to play at their grade level instead of age level. We flag athletes beforehand who request to be considered  for a grade level rather than their age level.  Registration will require them to be placed in their age level so please contact the club to request a grade level consideration if preferred at cevbclub@gmail.com. 

Note: Keep in mind if trying out with hopes of making a National team athletes must play at their age level.

Step 2: OVR Membership

"Current Player of the 2024/2025 Season" If you are a current OVR, Pioneer, or Keystone Region Member you can attend Ohio Valley Region (OVR) tryouts with the same membership. Please bring proof of this to tryouts (cell phone pic works just fine). Cincy East does also require you to complete the tryout registration process linked below in Step 3.  As you complete this step in the process please use the same email contact connected to your SportsEngine account throughout.

"First Time Volleyball Player" OVR (region governing body) requires our tryout participants that do not have a current membership to obtain an OVR Junior Tryout Membership at the following link.

Note: Your "First Time" student athlete will also be required to complete the Cincy East tryout registration process below in Step 3. 

Step 3. When registering on the Cincy East site for try-outs please use the same email contact connected to your SportsEngine account throughout. If you are completely new and do  not have a Sports Engine account, you will need to create one before being able to register for any event including try-outs. Also, bring proof USAV/OVR/Pioneer memberships with you to tryouts (cell phone pic works just fine).

Summer Open Gym Nights at Cincy East Volleyball!

Join us every Monday from June 9th to July 7th for our Open Gym sessions. Cost is $10 at the door.

• 14U Age Group: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

• 15-18 Age Groups: 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM

What to Expect and Tryout Results

We are excited to host your athlete for tryouts! Below  is a list of reminders and information about Cincy East tryout results.

• What are we looking for in a student athlete? Coachability, Effort, Attitude, and players that have FUN! 
• Remember those shoes and knee pads! Bring plenty of water.
• Arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow plenty of time for the check-in process.
• Please be sure to have your athletes OVR card/number. Athletes will not be permitted to participate without an OVR membership number. Yes, a picture is sufficient. To locate the OVR card logon to SportsEngine. Click your initials in the upper right corner. Click "My Profile". Click "Household". Locate the Ohio Valley Region info area. Click on "View Details". The athletes card should be in this area if you have signed up for the OVR Tryout Membership. If still having trouble locating fear not! One of our staff members will be glad to assist at check-in.
• For the 12's through High School age groups our tryout will be CLOSED to parents. The 10/11's age group tryout parents can stay and watch from a designated area.

This is a nervous time for all. Most importantly it's the athletes time to shine. We want them comfortable so they can perform their very best.

Results?

After tryouts our staff will form teams in very short order. Then we will communicate with athletes who have been invited to a team via the email associated with your Sports Engine account.

There will also be a general email acknowledging tryouts have concluded for age groups. Players do not always accept. In this case we will reach out to athletes we have designated as alternates. This process requires patience. 

OVR Tryout Policies... OVR (our governing body) has changed the tryout policies for the 10s-13s age groups. Clubs may NOT hold summer tryouts for these ages and must wait until the fall. Please click the following link to review the OVR policy.
